Women Unscene performance coming on well
This years Women Unscene Community Theatre Project is coming along really well and we are really excited to be bringing our sell out storytelling experience of The Gruffalo by the wonderful Julia Donaldson. The free community performance will take place at the Loughton library using puppets and rhymes and music and we cannot wait.
First Black Dog show at Bury St Edmunds
Welcome to the Story Den…Our new Black Dog Theatre Creation project in Bury St Edmunds is going really well too. We’ve been exploring characterisation, clowning, gestures and puppetry. We’re also about to perform our first sell-out performance of Little Red Riding Hood. The performance uses puppetry, oral storytelling, music, gestures, wordplay and larger than life characters.
Alice Through the looking Glass box office now open!
The box office is now open for our forthcoming performance of Alice through the looking Glass. The performance is FREE and will rake place at the St Pancras Library on Saturday 7th December. This new project has brought together both sighted and visually impaired artists to explore accessibility on stage for visually impaired artists and audience members. Pride London project looking for members
Dust off your hippy flares and hair doos! We’re going back to the sixties and seventies with our next community heritage and theatre project. London Pride will explore the story of the first ever London Pride. We’re now looking for new members to take part in the project. Working alongside the HLF, The National Archives and the Bishopsgate Institute, we will research and learn all about the story before devising a one-act play to be performed in London in June 2025. Roald Dahl’s The Witches
Our Colchester Black Dog Theatre Creation are raring to go! Following the success of our last Railway Children project, we will next be exploring panto-like characters and wordplay before developing a play inspired by Roald Dahl’s classic story “The Witches.” We’re now looking for some new members to help us bring the project to life.
