Working with the Puppet Soup Theatre Company

During our pilot project we developed a new link with the Puppet Soup Theatre Company whom came in and led some of our workshops. They gave us a small insight into how to be a puppeteer. We explored the relationship between the puppet and the Puppeteer, hold to work with different kinds of puppets on stage as well developing team work and concentration on stage. We then used what we had learnt to devise our own characters to retell the story of Red Riding Hood using puppets.

Our performance of Red Riding Hood and friends

Our first production was a performance of Red Riding Hood and friends using puppets at the Loughton Library. We performed our free show to members of the Parent Toddler group, Daddy Cool group and members of the public. The performances both sold out and were a  wonderful success.

Supporting the community during Covid 19

We have continued developing our work by meeting regularly via zoom to explore new performance skills and create audio recordings of popular children's stories  which we have then offered as free resources for parents during the lock-down.
